A view from the Close

My 'View from The Close' is penned from my study as I look out over the Close, the lush and beautifully kept heart of our school. As pupils young and old shade beneath its mighty trees, reading or chatting in a vast array of languages, or enjoying tennis on the grass courts or practice bowling in the cricket nets, this reflection of the week incorporates all that has been happening in our classrooms, sports fields or boarding houses.

Occasionally, I’ll use it to highlight areas that education is facing, or issues of national debate.

My view from the Close, which often includes a transcript of our chapel services, is sent by email link to parents on a Friday afternoon, and is available on the website.
