Head of Science for September 2015 (or January 2016)

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Head of Science to lead and develop an already strong Science Department. The successful candidate will be required to teach Science at KS3, GCSE Chemistry (and/or Biology) (AQA) and AS and A2 Level Chemistry (and/or Biology) (OCR).
The successful candidate will have a love of the sciences in general, be able to teach pupils with a range of abilities, and foster high quality teaching and learning skills. There are six laboratories in the Science Department, with each teacher having their own lab. We also have a highly competent science technician to aid with preparing practical lessons.
This job will suit someone who wants to join a busy and energetic Common Room and who would be prepared to be fully involved with the extra-curricular life in this thriving boarding and day school.
You will:

  • Be experienced and well-qualified to teach Chemistry (and/or Biology) to GCSE and AS- A2 Level;
  • Be prepared to lead a large department.

Reception Class Teacher for September 2015

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic teacher to join our highly professional Junior School team. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with a passion for learning who can motivate and inspire our pupils. This post is initially for one year, as the present holder is taking up voluntary overseas work, and will be reviewed towards the end of the contract.

IT Technician

We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to start in June. They will be given training on the job.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will assist in maintaining and developing the IT, Reprographics and Telecoms systems. You will facilitate the smooth running of the IT network and provide support for its users.

You must possess:

  • Good knowledge of ICT hardware and Windows OS
    • A working knowledge of PC components
    • Experience of common user applications including Microsoft Office

Any knowledge of networks is advantageous and an ICT qualification desirable.
