The experience of being at school should be a profound one for all of our children - they should be happy and fulfilled at school, and when they leave they should be prepared to embrace the new challenges they face and keen to get on with the next stage in their lives. Yet they should be able to look back on their school days as a great foundation which has given them a strong platform for the rest of their lives.
I want Dover College to be the foremost school in the education for life of the whole person and all of their abilities; I want the school to continue with the work started fifty years ago by Alec Peterson when he set up the International Class and began a new type of school education.
I want to educate pupils that come to this school to the very best of their potential - whatever their talents may be - and to ensure that they are given a strong and stable platform from which they can embark upon the rest of their life's journey.
Educating young people is a tremendous privilege and I hope that you will want to come and visit us and see what we are about - I would be delighted to share with you my vision for Dover College.
