Games at Dover College are run as a separate programme from Physical Education. The pupils play a different major game each term, competing against local and national independent schools as well as playing inter-house competitions.

Pupils at the senior end of the school are offered an alternative activity to the major game. Many pupils choose to do aerobics, basketball, sailing, swimming or go cross-country running.
