Rugby and Basketball
Rugby is back at Dover College. After being totally dropped in favour of Football a few years ago, the Director of Sports felt there was enough demand and talents for both to be featured. Mr Smith plays for both Canterbury and Kent's First Rugby Teams. Mr Henderson is a senior panel referee who has been involved with Kent, Oxford, the British Army vs Navy and Under 21 World Cup games.

Religious Studies
The Religious Studies Syllabus followed is that of the Independent Schools Examination Board, alternative A (revised 2006). This was produced to prepare candidates for the Common Entrance Exam at 13+, although it is not used for this purpose at Dover College.
Football and Hockey at Dover College
Football is a well established game at Dover College. It is played by all boys in the Michaelmas Term. The introduction of football in 1998 has proved to be a great success and at present the school has eight football scholars some of whom play for professional clubs such as Chelsea and Millwall. In recent years boys have left Dover College after completing their A levels and have achieved football scholarships to Loughborough University and have been awarded playing contracts with Brentwood and Gillingham Football Clubs.
