Each international pupil's English is tested upon arrival to Dover College before an individual programme of studies can be put in place. Immersion in English and lessons with peer groups in Maths, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Design Technology and PE helps to get everyone's English up and running.

Depending on the level of English, candidates will be prepared for the Cambridge examination PET, IGCSE or IELTS.
