Dover College’s Headmaster Stephen Jones reported: “We are delighted that over half of the examinations sat scored top grades (54% A &B) reflecting the hard work of both pupils and Common Room. These results put Dover College well ahead of the selective local Dover Grammar for Boys and Folkestone Harvey Grammar whilst catching up with the very popular and highly selective Dover Grammar for Girls who achieved a 54.1% A-Bs. The 74% A to C grade is our top figure, even exceeding last year’s excellent results. Several candidates achieved straight As and others achieved success in the advanced extension awards with 2 merits in French. With an average of over 250 points per candidate, the outlook for university entry looks very bright indeed and places sought after for the London School of Economics, Imperial College London, Exeter and Manchester are already some of the confirmed few. Well done all!”
