Welcome to the Junior School
Dover College’s Junior School educates children aged 3 to 11 years old, including our Early Learners, catering for children aged 3 and 4. Our caring and professional teachers believe that by identifying each child’s particular strengths, they can build the solid foundations which will help your child become a confident, happy and well-rounded individual.
Strong moral values such as discipline and respect for one another go hand in hand with the breadth of academic and extra-curricular activities already provided at Dover College.
Scholarships are awarded to a significant number of our Junior pupils moving up to the Senior School in academic, sporting, music and artistic fields. All-rounder scholarships may also be awarded where a child shows promise in several areas.
To assist working families the School allows children to be dropped off at 8am and collected at 5.30pm. These provisions will help you and your child/ren to enjoy more quality time together as prep (homework) will have been undertaken with the support of teachers. Children also enjoy a wide variety of clubs and activities.
A dedicated transport system covers a number of areas from Ash, Ashford, Bridge, Deal, Densole, Elham, Etchinghill, Eythorne, Folkestone, Hawkinge, Hythe, Kearnsey, Lyminge, Lympne, River, Sandgate, Sandwich, Shepherdswell, St Margaret’s at Cliffe and Tilmanstone.
Contact Wendy Parkins, Admissions Registrar, and arrange to see the School so that you can fully appreciate the opportunities Dover College can offer your child. We look forward to meeting you.
