Peter Donnelly BA Joint Hons, PGCE, Diploma TESOL
Mr. Donnelly joined the staff of Dover College in September 1998. He and his wife Fiona are Housemaster and Housemistress of St Martin's House and live with their daughter on site. Mr Donnelly has been teaching since 1979 in a variety of educational establishments e.g. secondary schools, Further Education colleges and teacher training colleges. Mr. Donnelly enjoys the intimate family atmosphere of Dover College.
Ludmilla Salter MA TEFL
Mrs. Salter joined Dover College in September 1999 and is well-qualified with a string of qualifications from both English and Ukrainian universities. Teacher, interpreter, translator, Mrs. Salter brings a wealth of international experience to our area. Particular strengths include an interest in computer usage, phonology and grammar.
Clara Harland BA Hons, TrinityCertTESOL
Clara Harland has six years teaching experience. She graduated in 2002 from the University of London with a first class BA Honours degree in Classics. After University she spent eighteen months working for a Venture Capital company in London.
In 2004, she went to Prague and obtained the TrinityCertTESOL qualification at Prague Schools. She then taught foreign teenagers at Kent and Reading universities before accepting a job with The British School of Verona in Italy. In September 2005 she returned to the UK and founded Clara Harland English with the aim of providing affordable language lessons for foreign employees within the local Kent community. In 2008 Clara provided English Language training component of the Concordia Seasonal Workers Education Programme. The following year, she was commissioned to write the teaching handbook to accompany the course on all Concordia SWEP farms in the UK.
Clara joined the Dover College team in September 2009. She teaches general English, provides exam preparation and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at all levels. Clara has a keen interest in music which she enjoys integrating into her lessons.
Leonie Hodson Dip TEFL
Leonie Hodson joined the International Study Centre at Dover College in September 2011 on her return from Belgium where she was Head of English for a major language school for over 8 years. As well as being a very experienced language teacher, she also trained teachers specialising in the teaching of children and teenagers. She has taught a wide variety of international students using various methodologies and also has a lot of experience in exam preparation for Cambridge ESOL exams.
Leonie is very keen on the theatre and is looking forward to supporting pupils in the various drama productions.
