Rear Admiral Simon Charlier, FRAeS, Old Dovorian and CINC Fleet's Chief of Staff (Aviation) since February 2008 will be handing out prizes to Dover College pupils on July 1st 2010.

Dai Fujikura, famous modern classical music composer and ex-pupil from Dover College came back to his roots. Dai's international fame is to be documented by a Japanese producing company. Dover College played an important part in helping Dai develop his confidence and individual talent by allowing him to through himself into his music.
Simon Cowell - where did it all go right?
A television producing company came to Dover College to interview Simon Cowell's Housemaster at the time, Mr George Matthews. The crew came with a small hand held camera and took various shots of the grounds and buildings, including Leamington House where Simon used to board as a boy. The show was recently broadcasted on Sky television and can be viewed on You Tube. Looking back, Dover College has produced a number of very talented people in the world of arts. Tyrone Power Snr, Anglo-American actor; Sir Frederic Ashton, Choreographer for the Royal Ballet; J-Lee Thompson, film director (the Guns of Navarone); George Lam, Honk Kong film star and singer; Michael Kuhn, film director; Guy East, film producer of Terminator 3 and finally Simon Cowell himself.
