For a long time now Dover College has offered a "sleep over" service (also known as Casual Boarding), which has become increasingly popular over recent years.

We find that pupils enjoy the experience of an overnight stay with their friends whilst allowing their parents time on their own. For parents having to travel to meetings it is reassuring to know that their child will be well looked after in the boarding house.

During examination periods and the weeks leading up to them, pupils find it advantageous to revise in the school environment, making the most of interaction with their classmates and avoiding unnecessary travelling time.

Current parents need to contact their child's housemaster or housemistress to make the necessary arrangements. Each casual overnight will be charged at £37 per night for the year 2010/2011, including dinner, bed and breakfast.
