Registration

It is sensible to register for admission as early as possible and a telephone call to the Admissions Officer will establish whether or not places are available.

A copy of the Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Further forms can be sent on request, or can be collected on a visit to the school. A non-returnable administration fee of £55 for UK residents and £65 for overseas residents is charged.

UK Visa and the Points Based System

The Points Based System (PBS) for student visas has been in place since March 2009. Any institution offering a place of study to a student must have a Sponsor Licence Number (SLN).

Dover College has been granted a Highly Trusted sponsor licence by the UK Borders Agency so we are able to provide all offered candidates with the required CAS to apply for a Tier 4 visa.

We do strongly advise all prospective students to be aware of the regular changes to the visa application process and read the information on the following web site: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/

Fees

The fees include the curriculum, school books, stationery and other materials, choral music, games, and lunch for day fees; breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as accommodation for boarders. International pupils get free English as a Second Language tuition in their first year at Dover College.

Entry

Once a pupil has been accepted for entry to the School, the official offer of a place will be made by the Headmaster. An Acceptance Form, together with the School's Terms and Conditions will be enclosed with the offer letter. This should be completed and returned to confirm the place. An advance payment of £500, set against the first term's fee invoice, is payable on the acceptance of a place. If subsequently the pupil does not start at the School, this payment will be forfeit.

The joining instructions will be sent out during the holiday preceding the pupil's first term. These instructions include the School Rules, clothing lists, medical forms and House information.

Sixth Form Entrance

Pupils who wish to enter Dover College at Sixth Form level are not required to sit an entrance test.

They are, however, required to submit evidence of their performance at GCSE level or any other relevant public examination.
