Pattern of the school day
|
|
Junior pupils at Dover College ring the Chapel bells. |
Infants and Juniors start their day with roll call at 8.30am followed by Assembly, Chapel or lessons from 8.45am depending on the day of the week. Lessons or games afternoons finish at 4pm. Activities take place between 4pm and 5.30pm.
Pupils may arrive from 8am and remain until 5.45pm, giving working parents valuable peace of mind. Some of our little ones catch the school minibus. Details of the routes can be obtained from the Bursary or the Admissions Officer.
Key Stage 1 Cooking Club
Pre-Reception, Reception and Year 1 pupils can try their hands at cooking during one of the weekly after school club activities.
Here are a couple of chocolate cakes and their tiny oven. Miss Bean clearly said, "if the cakes don't turn out well it's the oven's fault." I think Miss Bean may be learning from Mrs Caskie just as much as the children do!
