Dover College pupils are busy all year round with trips and activities but possibly not to the extent of the Summer Term.
Here is a list of some of the trips:
Year 7 and 8 Outdoor Leadership Week Trip: 17th - 22nd June
The programme includes the following activities: climbing, abseiling, rafting, canoeing, pioneering, orienteering, archery, caving, team building and kayaking.
Year 9 Field trip Weekend:
This local weekend under canvas focussed on personal and social development, leadership skills and self-confidence. The weather was not the best so the group missed out on the wall climbing, apart from that, it was great fun.
Year 10 Adventure Activity Trip: 24th June - 1st July
This trip is in its 8th year running and it has been a great success on each occasion. Water sports are on the programme as Argeles Sur Mer, France, enjoys a natural harbour with predictable winds for perfect sailing conditions and crystal clear waters for a rewarding snorkelling experience.
Year 11 Trip: 27th June - 1st July
Year 11 pupils enjoy a local trip packed with opportunities for them to discover something about themselves which might have escaped them so far... not much can be revealed but all we can say is that this yearly trip is greatly enjoyed by all, staff and pupils.
