Priory House is the 11 to 13 year old boys and girls' house, situated close to the Medical Centre. The facilities within include a pool table, television and video, stereo system, and various board and card games. These are for the use of the pupils during their recreation time.

Drama is enjoyed by Priory pupils.

In the past there have been pool tournaments and a pool ladder and there is a house record for the largest "Jenga" tower standing at 43 blocks!

In the summer, the small garden is dedicated to planting mostly flowers and strawberries. Matron loves the strawberries!

In addition to this, each pupil has his or her own locker, which can be locked with a padlock. A member of staff is always on duty during the day, the pupils are constantly supervised and there is always someone to answer any questions which the boys and girls might have about work.

Within the House, the children strive for success both in and outside of the classroom, with many achieving merit academically and in sports. Having performed highly creditably on the soccer pitch, the boys enjoy equal success on the hockey and cricket fields against local teams and prep schools. As all pupils of this age group are based within the same location, there is a strong sense of team effort and togetherness.

The Housemaster, Mr George Mees, took this post from January 2009. The Deputy is Mrs Sandra Cook.

Priory House captains, and vice captains are appointed each year. Their role is to assist in the day to day running of the House, with particular regard to maintaining the happy atmosphere there. This allows also for the pupils to further develop a sense of identity with Priory House, as it is a system similar to that run in the senior Houses.

The environment within the House centres on the individual. It is our ethos that we focus on the qualities of each student and create an atmosphere in which they can flourish. This coupled with a strong system of pastoral care gives the pupils a sound preparation for the senior school and the academic challenges awaiting them there. A firm foundation is developed, emphasising personal discipline and the value of endeavour in all fields.
