Muddy Knees pupils have embraced their new roles as recycling superheroes this week. Using the appropriate bins for recycling, using both side of a piece of paper and planting new plants in the playground the youngest members of the Dover College family have really got to grips with the Prep School termly topic ‘The Global Dimension’.
Pupils have been regularly reminding Mrs Mills to turn off the lights, computer and CD player to save electricity. One parent even told Mrs Mills that she now isn’t allowed to run the water at home when she is brushing her teeth – apologies parents!
In our Pre Prep class, children have been getting to grips with the use of instructions. They have been using a series of instructions to make their own recycled paper from old magazines and to make their own playdough – sounds like lots of fun! Some of the children extended their learning by creating their own instructions to make mobile models, we look forward to seeing the results.
It is looking like another fun filled week ahead for our Muddy Knees and Pre Prep pupils and we can’t wait to share the excitement with you in the next edition however, if you can’t wait that why not follow us on Dover College Facebook or @DoverMuddyKnees on Twitter.
