PREP SCHOOL SPORTS ROUND UP: WEEK 4

3rd February 20

U11 Netball v Northbourne Park

On Wednesday 29th of January the U11 girls played against Northbourne Park, they had an A and B team. First we played against the A team, We started first and moved quickly and did some amazing passes. The whistle blew at half time we had a switch up in possessions and although they won that match we came back in the next match.  Amazing play Evelyn and by the end of the second match Evelyn had scored 8 goals.

Well Done Girls. Player of the match, Evelyn for her great goals.

U9 Tag Rugby v Spring Grove

On Wednesday the 29th January the U9 boys travelled to Spring Grove for a tag rugby match. Both teams started brightly scoring early tries. Early in the second half they were two scores up but with improved teamwork when tackling and going forward we managed to get back level. Unfortunately they scored the go ahead try in the last minute and the game finished 8-7 to Spring Grove.

Great effort! Man of the Match to Oliver for great running.

U11 Rugby Festival at Northbourne Park

On Wednesday 29th January Dover College went to a festival at Northbourne Park. We played four teams Lorenden, junior Kings, Northbourne Park and Spring Grove. We started the festival slowly with some weak tackles and let in some easy trys.

As the festival progressed our passing improved and our possession increased leading to some great runs by everyone. We did not win any matches but we learnt lots and had fun.

Well done boys!
