Open Days

Dover College hosts regular Open Days giving prospective parents the ideal opportunity to experience the opportunities the College has to offer. We keep our Open Days small to enable visitors the opportunity to talk to members of staff and pupils. Open Days must be booked in advance.

Whole School Open Days

Held once a term, the morning begins with a short presentation from the Headmaster followed by a talk from the Head Boy or Head Girl. Tailored tours are then conducted with pupils from both the Prep and Senior schools dependent upon the age of your child.

You’ll visit academic departments with the opportunity to meet staff, visit a boarding house and experience a handful of the activities and facilities the College has to offer.

Following the tour, lunch will be served in the College Refectory where you’ll be able to meet with Heads of Department over a delicious buffet.

Whole School Open Days are open to all years of entry from age 3.

Sixth Form Open Evening

Held once a year, our Sixth Form Open Evening presents an opportunity for parents and prospective pupils to explore the subjects on offer at the College. After a short presentation from the Headmaster, you will have the opportunity to hear from our Head of Sixth Form before progressing to a carousel of subject exhibitions hosted by the subject teachers.

Light refreshments will be served in our Refectory giving parents and pupils the opportunity to meet any academic and pastoral staff you wish to meet.

Sixth Form Open Evenings take place each November.

Dates for our next Open Days

Admissions Visits

Should our Open Days not fall at a convenient time, our Admissions office is more than happy to arrange an Admissions Visit which are done on an individual, tailor-made basis to take into account both the prospective pupils entry point and interests.

Any visit will include an introduction with a member of the Senior Management team and a tour of the College to include a boarding house should you be looking at a boarding place. You will have the opportunity to meet with Heads of Department and our Head of Learning Support if required.

We look forward to meeting you. If you wish to book a visit, a place at one of our Open Days or have any questions, please contact us via admissions@dovercollege.org.uk or 01304 244522
