Dover College is thrilled to share the results of the recent IELTS exam with all pupils exceeding all expectations. Upper 6th pupils Lou, Khodani, Ethan and Bekas all scored a level 6 or higher. A level 6 being the level required by British universities to study an undergraduate or postgraduate course. However, the icing on the cake is the news that Duckworth Upper 6th pupil, Lou scored the highest level seen at Dover College in the last six years; an amazing 8.5 overall.
In addition, Bob a Lower 6th pupil who bravely decided to put himself forward to take the exam ‘as a practice run’ scored 5.5 which is fantastic. They should all be so proud – we are!
The IELTS exam is academically challenging and tests pupils in all four key skills in English; reading, writing, speaking and listening. A very high level of linguistic knowledge is required to gain such high scores.
A huge congratulations to all our pupils who sat the exams all of whom deserve the very best going forward. Further exciting opportunities for them now await.
