Sixth Form Introduction

Many pupils enter Dover College at the Sixth Form level.

The Sixth Form academic curriculum includes a wide range of AS, A2 and BTEC courses.  There is an excellent Sixth Form Centre which is run by the School Prefects for the benefit of the Sixth Form pupils.

Life in the Sixth Form is different, radically different. New freedoms are accompanied by new challenges - to develop your own approach to work, to take control of your life. This is the time to focus on your dreams and aspirations and to take the first steps towards achieving them.

Here is the list of the Sixth Form lectures our pupils will be attending to broaden their horizon:

Life beyond the Sixth Form
Sixth Form education is particularly important in preparing for the world of Higher Education and employment. We encourage young people to show initiative and to take on various positions of responsibility within the academic curriculum and also through activities and schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme. Building young men and women's confidence is just as important as building their social skills and our young people at Dover College make us very proud indeed! Come and meet them if you can.
