Fee Assistance

Scholarships

At Dover College we believe that potential, excellence and ability should be celebrated. We offer a range of scholarships at 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry. In addition to academic scholarships, applications for Art, Design Technology, Music, Drama and Sport are also welcomed.

An awarded scholarship represents both an honour of title within the College as well as an annual discount on the tuition fee up to a maximum of 20%.

Applications are accepted up to the closing date, with scholarship days held during the second half of the Michaelmas Term each year.

Bursaries

In addition to scholarships, it has long been the policy of Dover College to support families who are unable to pay full fees. The Governors of the College are committed to broadening access by offering means-tested bursaries to beneficiaries who would otherwise not be able to attend the College.  Awards are protected from inflation by being expressed as a percentage of the annual fees.

All bursary awards are subject to annual testing of parental means and may be varied as parental circumstances change.  Awards are assessed on the basis of a completed Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances which is available from the Director of Finance and Operations.

Bursary funds are limited and priority will be given to those who have been awarded scholarships as they are those likely to gain most from attending the College.  The potential contribution of the candidate to the wider School community will also be taken into consideration as will the likely impact of the award on the candidate’s education opportunity.

Applications are made directly to the Director of Finance and Operations, whose decision is informed by an assessment conducted by Bursary Administration Limited.
